SRA 2027 – BNMA Special Session: Abstracts Now Open
We are pleased to announce BNMA’s special session at the Society for Risk Analysis Australia and New Zealand (SRA-ANZ) Annual Meeting 2027:
From Uncertainty to Decisions: Bayesian Networks for Risk Analysis
This special session will explore the role of Bayesian networks (BNs) and causal models in moving from uncertainty to decision-making across diverse fields represented in risk analysis.
The session will begin with an accessible introduction to BNs for participants who are new to the approach, followed by contributed presentations demonstrating applications, methodological developments and practical lessons.
We welcome abstract submissions from researchers and practitioners working across environmental and climate risk, health and society, safety and security, industry and technology, natural hazards and resilience, and other emerging risk contexts.
Abstract submission deadline: 30 September 2026
Conference dates: 27–28 January 2027
Location: Sydney, Australia
